Have you heard of San Andres Island?
You probably have not heard of San Andres Island. When it comes to nice beaches in the Caribbean, people often associate them with the Bahamas, Jamaica, Cancun, or Cuba (sorry to Americans!). Do you even know that San Andres is part of Colombia? For South Americans, this is more well-known but even then, not exactly a hot spot for their vacation choice. I’ll elaborate this further later. So where is San Andres Island? As you can see from the map, San Andres is closer to Nicar

What about scuba diving?
This blog post deviates somewhat from my usual guide on traveling. Instead, this is about my experience in scuba diving in general. Although I’m not a regular diver, I did dive around 17 times in 3 different countries. As a beginner scuba diver, it is important to choose the site to dive, and who to dive with (for safety reasons). I've had the chance to explore two cenotes during my trip to Yucatan. One at Tulum and one near Chichen Itza. What is it? A cenote is an underground cave with freshwater pools. It was believed that an asteroid hit Yucatan and shifted the bedrocks in the area, the result is a collapse of limestone bedrock and then exposes groundwater underneath

Scuba-diving Round 2!
Day 9 This day was my second Great Barrier Reef trip. This time we departed from Cairns and sailed to Norman reef. As you can see from the picture below, the first trip 2 days ago was at Agincourt Reef at the top, and today is at Norman Reef, which is below. We went with another tour operator company called Reef Experience. Unfortunately, I was not impressed with this company because the staff lacked professionalism. The service was not the greatest compared to my first trip.
