Leaning "People" of Pisa?

Day 8

If one goes to Pisa, one must vist the leaning tower of Pisa. We took TransItalia from Rome and made a detour to Pisa while on the way to Florence. I figure that we probably didn't need to spend more than 3 hours in Pisa. So why not stop by?

What I'm surprised about the place is not the leaning tower itself, but rather the people who are trying to mimick the support of the tower.

There is literally a row of people making the exact same pose, which is puting your hands and try to support the tower. We tried to do the same and the pictures below will explain it.

I'm going to cut you from boredom by only showing 3 pictures.

After doing the exact same thing for 3 hours, we took the train again to arrive at Florence. Surprisingly, our timing is pretty good and we still have a good chunk of tie for the rest of the day.

At Florence, there are two famous landmarks - one is called the Florence Cathedral (or I call it Duomo) and the other one is arguably the most famous naked statue - The Statue of David.

Duomo is the main church of Florence and its design is one of a kind - features a Gothic style facade covered in shades of green and pink. I don't think I have seen this kind of church elsewhere in the world. Due to its uniqueness, it is now part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The one thing that excites me the most is that this building is featured in Assassins Creed II. One of the cities in the game is Florence and the main character is supposed to navigate around the church to find a secret tunnel towards a secrety society's HQ. I tried to do the same, but I wasn't successful (or my friends told me to stop wasting time).

Very close to Duomo is Palazzo Vecchio. The statue below is NOT the actual Statue of David but rather just a replica. The actual statue is inside a museum. Since this statue is so famous, they had to bring a replica out in the public.

Closer to the end of the day, we walked to Ponte Vecchio, which is a famous bridge with shops on it. The shops sell different kind of goods, such as watches, clothes, drinks etc.

At the end of the day, we went to eat pizza which is apparently the second best pizza in the world (after Naples).
